We're back to introducing you to some of our lovely guests here at the hostel. This week our guests are from Spain, in town for school projects and to check out Danish architecture.
Meet Aina, Maria, Helena, and Judit. They are classmates from Barcelona, where they are almost done with their education in architecture. They came to Copenhagen as a part of their studies, and are here to for a week to learn from Danish architecture institutions, check out Copenhagen architecture, and have some well deserved time off.
Hi guys! How are you liking Copenhagen so far? Well, we’ve only been here for a day, so we don’t know so much yet. But it seems like a very tranquil city, quiet and cozy. And without very many tall buildings.
What are your plans here? We’ll spend most of the time doing things with the Royal Danish Academy, where the architecture school is located. The Danish students are off this week, so we are learning from their teachers. But we also have some time off, tomorrow and the weekend.
Do you know what you want to do or see on your days off? We didn’t plan much, and we’re just going to figure it out as we go. Tomorrow we’re renting bikes, so we can check out the city. As an architect, everything you see on the streets is important. But we heard about Christiania, and we definitely want to go there for a look.
How are you liking Copenhagen Downtown Hostel? We really like it! It’s so great that you can choose to either cook in the kitchen or buy food in the bar but then still sit together and eat it. And this lounge seems like a fun place and a great place to meet people.
What’s your favorite thing about Barcelona? The climate. And the beach.
