Meet our Staff it's Filippo
Have you met our bar and reception star Filippo? He's been with us for 5 months and is from Italy! We asked him some questions about travel, Copenhagen, and working in our amazing hostel. Here's what he said....
So Filippo, do you think you're a
backpacker at heart?
"I haven't
travelled in as many countries in my life as I would like to, but maybe this is why I love doing
it! Actually one of my present goals is to visit other countries, or better still other continents, with only a bag on my back and the spirit of adventure
inside. I don't wanna miss anything!"
What do you think the best thing about staying in a hostel
is?
"The most interesting thing for me is that you encounter different
realities. Staying in a hostel you will meet a lot of people from many
different countries, and each one of them has a particular story to tell. You
will have the chance to explore and find out more about different perspectives and lifestyles, and this
usually happens in a very nice environment, where everyone is having fun
together and getting to know each other. That's the great thing about having lots of communal space in a hostel as you get to meet other travelers."
What’s the best thing about working at Copenhagen Downtown?
"The people. The guests come from all over the world and
they are always ready to make new experiences and new friends. This creates an
atmosphere which I have never seen before, and this is the reason why I usually
hang out at Copenhagen Downtown also if I'm not working! Also, the staff team is an awesome, they are more friends than colleagues to me. I
couldn't really ask for anything more!"
What’s do you think is the best thing for guests staying at Copenhagen Downtown?
"The free dinner that is served every day for our guests is
the perfect example of what is happening down there. You sit in one of the long
tables around reception and you simply have the opportunity to meet new people while having dinner together, and for
free! But don't let me spoil everything, you just have to try it :)"
What’s the best thing about living in Copenhagen?
"One of the best things I have realized living in Copenhagen is that it is a city where you can find at least one thing that matches your interests. Whatever you wanna do, whatever you want to eat, or see, or dance, there is always that option available somewhere in the city. And to find it, just ask the staff!"
Thanks Filippo for your interview! Come and visit Filippo at Copenhagen Downtown!!
