Meet our Star Staff Member Alba
Every week we bring you an interview with one of our cool members of staff at Copenhagen Downtown. This week we have Alba from Barcelona in Spain, she's been working with us four months here in Downton!

"What do you think the best thing about staying in a hostel is? (or worst…)
There are many great things that anyone can take from staying at a hostel: learn how to share your space, adapt yourself to any kind of situation - be it someone snoring like hell in the room or an intense feet smell that spreads all over the room, socializing with people from all over the globe, sharing different cultures, breaking stereotypes, become more open... I could keep on and on, but the best way to realize it is just to jump in the deep end and start travelling!
"What’s the best thing about working at Copenhagen Downtown?"
Without any doubt the colleagues with who I work, which beyond being co-workers they became family. It's really nice to perceive your working place not only as such, but a place where you will always enjoy your time in both sides of the bar ;)
"Do you consider yourself a backpacker at heart?"
I used to travel as much as I could during summers. Just put some underwear and t-shirts in a bag, take the cheapest flight or hitchhike and find myself out of my comfort zone for some months. It feels nostalgic to look back at all those moments and people left behind during the way, but that's part of life, to let go things but still allow all those memories to shape who we are :)
"What’s do you think is the best thing for guests staying at Copenhagen Downtown?"
For me the best thing is the possibility of meeting such amount of amazing people from all over as well as locals. Because what makes a trip worth is not the place itself but the relationships and experiences that you build anywhere. Copenhagen Downtown has a great mix of international people as well as being popular with the locals!
"What do you think the best experience is in Copenhagen for tourists?"
I don't think there is any way to standardize one single best experience, for a unique experience I would encourage anyone to find their own ;)
"What do you think is the best bar / café / restaurant in Copenhagen?"
Really depends. I would for instance recommend Paludan Bog & Café to have breakfast or brunch whereas Street Food Market or l'Apetit for lunch and probably Kaffe Ladro for a snack before dinner.
"Finally, you love to travel so tell us - what’s your favorite travel quote?"
