Tivoli Gardens


Every visitor to this atmospheric city should make a bee line for the world-famous Tivoli Gardens. For three weeks in October, this fantasy land is transformed into a pumpkin-tastic paradise. Here can experience first-hand what 20,000 pumpkins look like in one spot, carve pumpkins, get lost in a hay bale maze and feast on seasonal treats to make your mouth water.  But if you like your Halloween more horror then heart-warming then make a date with The Haunted a ride for those aged 18 or over, it sounds truly terrifying. There's also a chance to take a selfie with a zombie and if you're up for some hair-raising horror then make a date with the Monster's Night Out Parade on 28 October and see horrid hoards dressed for mayhem in a celebration of all things horrifying- if you can take the fear factor!

Marina Abramovic at Louisiana


For lovers of modern art the gorgeously designed and located Louisiana art gallery, just a short train ride from central Copenhagen is hosting an exhibition called The Cleaner of the ground-breaking contemporary artist Marina Abramovic until the 22nd of October. Not only is the artist hailed as a daring genius around the world for using her body as the centre of her work but the setting of what must be one of the world’s most beautiful art galleries should be right up there on your hit list. LiveSea Battle

If you want to have a quick dip into history while enjoying some spectacular drama then look no further than a live sea battle taking place in Copenhagen harbour from 19-20.00 on the evenings of the 20 and 21 October. Here three massive ships will fight it out at as dusk settles on the city’s stunning harbour. Afro-Cuban Music Festival


If you like your music a little more up tempo then you're in luck with an Afro-Cuban music festival to intoxicate your senses and get those hips moving.
