Islands Brygge Harbour Baths
Take a leap into the truly cool and clean and join the ever-popular swimmers leaping, lapping and chilling out at Copenhagen Harbour’s Baths. As the mercury rises in the city why not immerse yourself in the super clean waters of this scenic waterfront and watch the world go by? Summer in the City Festival
To get under the skin of the locals you could join the intimate and free Summer in the City Festival (27-30 July). This festival showcases 18 up and coming bands from the Danish underground scene. This a great place to hear an eclectic range of music while you spot the next big thing over a relaxed beer. Find out more here
Carpark Festival
If you want to know where the alternative scene is found then look no further than the Carpark Festival (28-29 July). Don’t let the name of this festival put you off, the unlikely venue for this two day celebration of food, music and great food is underneath Bispebjerg highway flyover. Copenhagen Jazz Festival
Jazz aficionados and first timers have a treat in store for them this July when the legendary Copenhagen Jazz Festival (7-16 July) hits the city streets. Famous names rocking this year’s celebration include Herbie Hancock, Jamie Callum and Anoushka Shankar.
Whether you’re note perfect, or just want to sample something new, this user-friendly festival has something for everyone with many of the 900 gigs taking place on the city’s streets. There’s no better way see the neighbourhoods and meet the neighbours! Find out more here
Copenhagen’s Opera Festival
If soaking up high-brow culture floats your boat, then don’t miss Copenhagen’s Opera Festival. Making the most of the long nights you can be swept up in the world’s best arias while enjoying the outdoor performances. Hop on the twice daily Operetta Boat, see the city’s scenic canals while being serenaded live to well-known operatic numbers or join the popular Morning Song (31 July- 4 August) and warm up your own voice.
